LA FIRE RELIEF OPPORTUNITIES

As we continue to pray for our neighbors in need, we recognize that prayer is not the end point but the starting point for right action. Here are some ways we can use our resources to serve those in need.

DONATE: Living Way Community Church

Living Way Community Church is a fellow Gospel-centered church serving neighbors in Pasadena and surrounding areas. They have a distribution center that passes out critical supplies needed for those impacted by the Eaton Fire. You can drop off donations at their church campus on weekdays from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM. You can also contribute financially towards disaster relief by giving through Zelle (donate@lwccla.org) or Paypal (donate@lwccla.org). Please specify in the transaction notes: “Eaton Fire Relief”.

Volunteer: Union Rescue Mission

Union Rescue Mission is one of the largest rescue missions in the United States serving the most vulnerable populations in Los Angeles. They are now designated as a Relief Hub, accepting essential supplies through their distribution center, thrift stores, and mission locations. They are also in need of volunteers to collect, sort, and disburse items to those in need.

Volunteer: YMCA

Volunteers play a crucial role in the Y’s mission to provide much-needed support and resources to those affected by the fires hitting Los Angeles. Your willingness to spend your time and energy to help others in need will greatly impact the speed and effectiveness of relief operations. Volunteers can assist in various tasks such as handing out meals and fresh produce, donating emergency supplies, helping to organize donations, and so much more.

Volunteer: Dream Center

The Dream Center serves as a resource center focused on providing support to those affected by homelessness, hunger, and the lack of education through residential and community outreach programs.
